This Pub is Permanently Closed

"Former gastropub set back looking down on Silksworth Lane. There is a current planning application 21/02627/FUL for demolition of the venue to build houses. This application went to planning committee (1/8/2024) who accepted the views of the planning department/developers that the application should be approved. However the application remains open awaiting a final decision. (Currently extended to 26th January 2024)

The pub suffered a major fire in November 2023 and was in such a dangerous state the Health & Safety Exec ordered it's demolition

In Spring 2024

Update - 4th July 2024- "21/02627/FUL - the application to demolish was finally approved retrospectively on 29/6/24"
