Former Bar, Hotel and Leisure venue, that was closed long term, but has now reopened. Though it has reopened, it is only trading as a hotel/hostel with no food or drink on offer. It is unclear whether the public bar, the Carlton Bar, will reopen though there are plans to revive the kitchen.
Historic Interest
Built on the site of Moorgate House, the former home of Solicitor John Oxley that passed to rotherham Counccil and ran as a Children's Home from 1955 to 1970. Opened in 1981 as a new build for the Queens Moat house Group. The public bar was originally named the Pavillion Bar
