This Pub is Permanently Closed
The Bull was a roadhouse on the A225 that traded for 285 years until its closure in 2015. In the late 20th century it was part of the Courage tied estate, like so many of the pubs along the A225. In around 1988 it changed its name to 'The Buffalo's Head Alehouse', a move that was initially successful. This upturn in the pub's fortunes was not sustained, however, and another renaming took place in 2000, this time to 'The Four Lymes'.
Like so many pubs suffering from an identity crisis, the writing was on the wall, and the end came in 2015. The building has been converted into an Indian restaurant.
If anyone is able to supply a picture of the pub in its days as 'The Bull' this would be greatly appreciated.
