A 17th-century coaching inn, the first to serve the River Hamble crossing. On entering, to the right is a reasonably sized public bar and to the left is a large lounge and conservatory, and beyond that an outdoor patio area. Decoration is plenty of old style wainscotting, original looking wood beams & pillars and some bare brick.
