Dating back to 1695, this former hunting lodge and coaching inn overlooks the Dee Valley. A comfortable bar and sizeable restaurant are decorated with the owners classic car memorabilia . "The Bryn" which was owned by the same family for many years before recently being bought and refurbished by owners of Pale Hall. There is also a small covered and heated courtyard at the rear. Ensuite guest rooms are available and it is well located for exploring the Bala area.

These hours are the pub's winter hours. Current hours (open 3pm Monday and Tuesday, opening noon Wednesday and Thursday) will last as long as trade justifies it. The management have not decided either if or when winter hours will be reverted to.
