From planning records: This pub was owned by Punch Taverns. It closed around 2009/2010 and Punch sold it with a covenant preventing it reopening as a pub and the pub remained empty thereafter. Planning for demolition (effective change of use) applied for 07/04/2015 and granted 17/12/2015. By mid 2017 the pub had been demolished and a new Coop shop was partially built just behind where the pub used to be.
