This Pub is Closed Long Term

Originally a Charrington's pub built at the time, in the 1930s with the coming of the railway branch line, amid high hopes of turning the area into a major seaside and holiday resort. Did not serve any real ale towards the end of its existence, despite being busy in the summer months with visitors staying at the nearby holiday park. Planning permission for conversion to other uses (convenience store and housing units) given in 2021. Now closed permanently.
