An Independent free house owned and run by a local family, which has facilities for all seasons, including an open fire, conservatory, and garden area. The Bricklayers opened in 1833 having been built for the builders of St Peters Church, located opposite. It now has open plan L-shaped interior with a single bar and three distinct seating areas. Food is available daily to accompany the fine selection of ales and they even open for breakfast at weekends.
