This is a small two room backstreet locals’ pub. There are two rooms although interconnected through a doorway. The smaller of the two rooms is on the right and is the more basic of the two, and would have been and in effect still is the public bar. It contains games and fruit machines plus a dartboard. The other room is the saloon bar which is a bit more comfortable being carpeted and containing some standard seating. There is a pool table at the back of this room plus a disabled toilet. These backstreet pubs are a dying breed in London and this is a good example of an unpretentious locals’ boozer. There are hand pumps installed and Courage Best is occasionally, but not consistently available.
