Landlords Ivor and Rose own this former Benskin’s house that showcases local beers, often featuring Colchester, Growler or Mighty Oak breweries. Built on the site of a former brickworks, this popular local has served the community for 150 years. There is a quiet, comfortable lounge and a lively sports-orientated public bar and pool room with several satellite TV screens. Outside there is a covered, heated smokers' patio and a large but secluded deck. Dogs are welcome throughout the pub.
