Hotel bar that was open to the public.
A former royal hunting lodge, with extensive grounds and noted for its collection of rhododendrons, flowering shrubs and trees. The hotel has been run by the same family since the 1980s. The building eschews symmetry in favour of a jumble of gables, dormers, bay windows, an oriel, and a pyramid-roofed water tower masquerading as a belvedere. The bar is warm and relaxing; it has panelled walls and a coffered ceiling, and is adorned with stag heads and antlers. The subterranean gents' toilet is worth a visit.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 0 regular beers.
