This Pub is Permanently Closed

OCT 2024 - No evidence that it has reopened yet or anything is going on.

FEB 2024 -While the Born Brewery continues to brew their four cask ales, the bottling plant and Lilliard Gin Distillery has closed temporarily. In addition, the Visitor Centre which closed in 2022 is now expected to reopen in late Spring '24 but as Lanton Mill - Weddings Events Gatherings. It will no longer be somewhere you can call in for a drink. Note: In planning terms (11/01574/FUL) the previous operation was a restaurant so this change is technically not the loss of a pub.

Previously:

WARNING: Cask ale only available for pre-booked groups. Full range of bottled beers always available but these are not bottle conditioned (RAIB).

The visitor centre for the newly renamed Born in Scotland brewery which has been very sympathetically and rustically put together. Entrance is free and apart from the shopping and restaurant opportunities plus the Lilliard Gin Distillery (acquired 2019) there are riverside walks, an open air terrace and various activities for kids including bug and bird spotting, glass sledging, a pirate ship and winter skating . Brewery tours are available on request with pre-booking advised.
