Historic Interest

Listed in the Ale House Register of 1561. This building had a date stone of 1722. Listed in Bagshaw's directory of 1850. A Birkenhead Brewery pub, shown in the old photo in about 1910. One of the old photos was taken in 1925 with the old pub due to be demolished and also showing the new pub which had been built just behind it and opened in 1925.
