The Board Inn is now run by John Davis and Adele Wattam, with John having had over 20 years of service to the trade.

Situated a short distance from the EVR station, local shops, bakery and stepping stones crossing the River Esk, Yorkshire's only salmon-fishing river, this stone built family-run 18th-century pub is at the heart of village life, and where the new owners are continuing to serve the local community.

Three rotating guest beers, sourced from Yorkshire, are served.

Comprises a locals' bar, a lounge/restaurant, and a riverside patio.

The food is virtually all sourced locally.

Offers B & B in five en-suite bedrooms.

Open from noon, Wednesday to Sunday.

Previous local CAMRA Branch Cider Pub of the Year and also Community Pub of the Year.
