Attractive and friendly two-roomed inn at the centre of the village next to the church. It has a good reputation for food (served in the restaurant area). Pleasant outdoor area to the rear of the pub. Real ale changes on regular basis mainly from National breweries.

Public house. Early C18. Painted rendered walls on painted squared plinth; graduated slate roof, rendered chimney stack. 2 storeys, 4 bays. 6-panel doors. Broad sash windows with glazing bars,'painted stone sills. Small ground floor fire window now with leaded panes. C20 public house wall sign between floors: projecting 1930's swing sign on wrought iron bracket at first floor level. Taken over by the Central Control Board in 1916 and returned to private ownership in 1973. Listing excludes outbuildings to rear.
