A warm and friendly town pub offering a varying range of ales on five handpumps. It stages a popular annual St George's Day beer festival. The food is home-made and good both in quality and value - desserts are a feature - served in a small but pleasant eating area, which has now been extended with the addition of a covered pergola for outside dining. In the garden there are several wooden huts that can be booked for special occasions.
