Brick-built Victorian end terrace with imposing frontage; part rendered, cream painted. Originally an Evershed's pub until that brewery was incorporated into Marston, Thompson & Evershed in 1905. There are separate entrances to public bar and lounge. Basic public bar has pool table in centre. Larger, carpeted lounge is comfortable, clean and well lit, with old photographs of some of Burton's buildings (mainly churches!) adorning the walls. Outdoor drinking area limited to small patio with picnic tables. Friendly, welcoming locals pub with good atmosphere.
