Dating from 1840, this former coaching inn retains much of its original character. The bar features a dark wooded gantry offering a wide selection of spirits. Many photographs adorn the pub’s interior, reflect the rich history of the former lace town. An open mic session is held on Wednesdays, and live bands play on Saturday evenings. Although there is no permanent kitchen, a variety of food trucks visit by prior arrangement on a regular basis. Families are welcome in the lounge bar which can also be hired as a function room.
