Wine Bar.
Initially launched as a members club, this subterranean space is now open to the public as well. The name is a reference to the 'black book' which sommeliers are said to keep for tasting notes about wines. The wine list here changes daily and the food offering is largely pizzas plus cheese & charcuterie sharing boards. Now in conformance with CAMRAs definition of a pub. Note restricted opening hours. Also note that the Blue Plaque shown celebrates the first demonstration of television in this country in the house next door, in 1926.
