The original bar of this roadside pub has been converted into the 'Victorian Dining Room' and large extensions have been made to the side and rear of the building to make this a very spacious pub with ample covers. The main bar has an number of interesting old photos depicting scenes of local village life. Access to pub is via the large car park to the side of the Grade II listed building.
The Bird in Hand is a family owned and run, only a mile from Lotus Cars, as reflected in the Lotus memorabilia on the walls. The young owners maintain a classic pub feel, and offer an up to date food menu with the food cooked from scratch using locally produced products wherever possible, including fee-range beef, pork, and lamb from Norfolk, and fish and shellfish caught off the coasts of Norfolk and Suffolk. A wide drinks selection is available with Real Ales from breweries in Norfolk and Suffolk.
Occasional quiz nights are held as are regular acoustic music and charity fundraising nights, and high quality and comfortable accommodation is available in eight luxury chalets. A gourmet food takeaway service is also available, as is an outside bar using the customized “Top Beer” mobile bar (for hire for small or large events)
This Pub serves no changing beers and 2 regular beers.
