This is a club, which means that the bar may be only open to members.
Billericay has changed a great deal since the Club was first formed in the 1890s, and since it moved to its current location at 1a High Street in 1928. However, the aim of the Club remains the same – to provide a comfortable place for people to get together and enjoy themselves. The Club has a large licensed bar which has recently undergone refurbishment and is open seven days a week. Lunches are served Wednesday to Saturday and, along with monthly lunchtime Jazz sessions, afternoon bingo and fortnightly whist drives, there is some form of entertainment on offer every Saturday night, such as singers, quiz nights and themed party nights. Other facilities for members include a big screen TV showing live sporting events, a full-size snooker table (the last remaining one in Billericay), a pool table, two dartboards and cards. The Club currently has teams playing in local leagues for pool, darts and cribbage, and also has a Golf Society with an active schedule throughout the summer months. It is a private members club that welcomes guests and visitors from other affiliated Clubs.
This Club serves 2 changing beers and 2 regular beers.
