Historic inn overlooking the River Wear at the north end of Fatfield Bridge. Dating from 1827 this pub once included a brewery. The pub has had a major makeover and real ale is available in the left hand bar. Meals are served there and right hand restaurant / lounge. The pub is overlooked by the historic Worm Hill. Regular buses outside the door
