A 'Hungry Horse' branded Greene King pub, open at 10am for breakfasts. Modern pastel shades throughout the open plan layout with a mixture of carpeting and wooden floors. A black and white patterned tiled floor in front of the bar is an interesting retro feature.
Historic Interest
The Beekeeper is a late 1980s build by Bass and was later acquired by Hardy's & Hanson's Kimberley Ales. Perhaps named for the heraldic rebus pun which makes use of the Bee in Beeston's coat of arms - and the statue on the High Road of the Bee-man, or Bee King .....or Bee Keeper if you prefer! Designed by Bass Mitchells & Butlers in-house team at Cape Hill Brewery, Birmingham. Planning application 87/00617/REM was made on the 23rd November 1987 and conditional permission given 31st December 1987.
As at November 2017, the freehold (NT104603) for the Beekeeper was held by Greene King Retailing Limited (Reg. No. 5265451).
