This Pub is Permanently Closed

Traditional two-bar town pub with an older clientele. Public bar has a pool table, darts and large TV, jukebox and gaming machines. Lounge bar also has a large TV, plus a large 'Barrel' on display which used to hang up outside the pub, no doubt before the days of pedantic Health & Safety. The name comes from the former owners Banks & Taylors (BAT) and the Barrel.

Pub closed Oct 2018

Planning Application 20/01445/FUL | Conversion and change of use of vacant public house to 4 two bed flats with a first floor side/rear and ground floor infill extensions and alterations to existing fenestration with associated shared amenity space, cycle and bin storage. Approved 05 Mar 2021.
