The Barrel House is a micropub opened in May 2014. A former newsagents which still sells the daily paper. It owes its existence to the new Sainsbury's Supermarket which gave the owner the idea to change his business. It is now an Aladdin's cave of wonderful bottled beers, wines, loose leaf teas and speciality coffees. It also sells two real ales on handpumps usually featuring local breweries such as Southport Parker. Loyalty card offers free pint after buying 10.
