A 16th-century, Grade II-listed hotel, owned by the National Trust, that retains many of its original features, including a front drinkers’ bar. Regular beers from Palmers are served, as well as beers recreated by the

Dead Brewers Society. The restaurant to the rear serves

excellent home-cooked food. A large, picturesque garden overlooks Swanage Steam Railway and Corfe Castle station, with fantastic views of the Purbeck hills. Beer festivals are held in the summer.

Rebuilt early 20th century retaining some 18th century outbuildings. Grade II Listed. Historic England list entry 1120236.
