With its sumptuous interior consisting of leather seating, ornate lighting, wooden panelling and an impressive stained glass window, it is easy to think this pub has always been here. However, this Thornbridge Brewery and Pivovar joint venture only opened in 2019. Formerly a bank (although when originally built c1873 it was the Saracens Head Inn). A safe occupies one of the two rooms downstairs that used to be vaults. Do not miss the paintings of cats in formal, historical dress on the stairs. One dark beer is usually available. Pool table.

An impressive Thornbridge bar opened in 2019. There is much to admire in the island bar counter, lots of wood panelling and several small seating areas. To the right is a lovely stained-glass window which is an exciting and unexpected touch. There is even a small library. Downstairs additional seating is in the old bank vaults, including in the former safe. The bar serves a range of real ales, no food.
