Intimate yet lively pub a stone's throw from the train station, rich mahogany and low lighting harking back to a simpler yet more decadent age. Thornbridge and Pivovar's love of cats extends to this former bank, supplanted only by their love for providing quality real ale. The Thornbridge Brewery classics are supported by a host of rotating beers (watch out for Jaipur X at 10%), with an impressive cask arsenal too. Weihenstephaner Weissbeir is also available. The old vault makes for an ideal function room. For many years of the 20th century it was a bank, though when built c1873 it was the Saracens Head Inn. At least one dark beer will normally be available. A range of pork pies is available throughout the day. Pool table.

An impressive Thornbridge bar opened in 2019. There is much to admire in the island bar counter, lots of wood panelling and several small seating areas. To the right is a lovely stained-glass window which is an exciting and unexpected touch. There is even a small library. Downstairs additional seating is in the old bank vaults, including in the former safe. The bar serves a range of real ales, no food.
