Located on the ground floor of a corner tenement, this small pub has a loyal clientele drawn from the locals and the transient student population and on some evenings can be busy. It comprises a single room on the ground floor and a basement room where the functions are held.
The bar has large windows overlooking the street and is furnished with comfortable banquette seating along two walls, central tables and chairs and bar stools.
The cask beers change regularly, and are usually from independent breweries.
There is regular entertainment, sometimes free, in the basement room. Often Jazz, Blues or Soul music and occasional comedy events.
Food can be provided by arrangement.
NOTE: Card only - no cash. The ladies toilet is located in the basement. Children are not admitted.
