This Pub is Permanently Closed
Hanley's first micropub opened at the end of November 2015 and converted from an old shop. A single room greets the visitor on entering, with a couple of tables set out for drinking, plus a couple of high-backed chairs against the window for those who want to watch the world go by. As with all micro-pubs, the bar is the main attraction, with four ever-changing ales that can be sourced from a wide selection of breweries; the "cellar" is to the left of the bar, and this also contains four cask boxes of real cider. There is a small snug-like area to the rear of the bar; all in all, a welcome and refreshing development for Hanley's real ale scene.
