This is a club, which means that the bar may be only open to members.

An oasis of cask ale in the village centre. Thanks to the enthusiastic efforts of steward Paul, it boasts six handpumps, usually featuring a strong selection from local breweries. Friendly and hospitable, the club offers a spacious and smart interior.

Facilities include snooker, pool, darts and dominoes, with a county-standard bowling green outside. Live sport is well covered, with Sky, TNT and Prime shown on a couple of large screens.

A simple menu is available at lunchtimes and early evenings (excluding Sunday evenings). Entertainment includes a quiz night every Sunday and regular live music nights, typically held once a month. An annual beer festival​,​ this year 17–19th April 2026.

The club was awarded Macclesfield & East Cheshire CAMRA Branch Club of the Year 2024.

Entry is free for CAMRA members​, use the front door buzzer and show your CAMRA card on entry. Non-members pay a £2 door charge.
