Traditional hotel with bar, restaurant & accommodation.
Kirriemuir is well known as the birthplace of Sir J M Barrie, author of Peter Pan and Bon Scott original lead singer with rock legends AC/DC.
Following a substantial renovation, this historic hotel reopened in 2015, with cask ale making a welcome appearance. The interior features an attractive Ushers mirror on the wall, with two handpulls on the bar offering a variety of changing beers, sometimes unusual examples from local breweries.
Drinks may be poured from 11am; breakfast and Sunday brunch are served to non-residents from 10am, plus an all-day bar menu seven days a week. See website and Facebook for details of hours and menus, including takeaways and Sunday high tea.
