A joint operation between Brains' brewery, Heineken and pub operator Breaking Brands on the site occupied by Brains brewery between 1882 and 1999. It forms part of a comprehensive redevelopment of the brewery that took place following Brains' departure but this pub occupies the most historic part of the site, which is in the heart of Cardiff's night time entertainment district. The pub is on two levels with mirrors on the walls and ceiling of the upper level providing a very spacious feel. There are three traditional darts boards plus electronic interactive sports games. Live bands or DJs perform from 9 until one hour before closing. The pub does not have a separate function room but the upper floor might be available for hire. There are outdoor areas on both levels with glass roofs providing some protection against the weather.
