This Pub is Permanently Closed
The Highland Hotel was first licensed circa 1944. Prior to that it was a temperance hotel back to circa 1885 and was named after various owners. The building is described as a 200 year old inn, so maybe it was licensed in the early Victorian era (name unknown). In recent times the hotel struggled during the Covid pandemic and did not recover fully. It may have closed its bars to the public circa 2020 and is now an Airb&b only.
