This Pub is Temporarily Closed

A gastropub, restaurant and cocktail bar set to move into the former South Street Social Club in Farnham and due to open on 24th July 2025.

Historic Interest

The Grade II Listed building was specifically designed for the Liberal Club in 1894 by the architect Sir Edwin Lutyens. It was his first complete Georgian Building and was built with a mortgage provided by Arthur Chapman of Crooksbury, Chairman of Farnham Liberals. Formerly the Farnham Liberal Club, but rebranded and reopened in May 2021 at South Street Social Club, open to all. However the club closed in August 2023 stating that this was "due to ever increasing debt , Covid & the way peoples habits changed after, the extortionate utility bills, constant price increase of beer & spirits & lack of use of the club by 70% of its members". Historic England List Entry 1319899.
