This Pub is Permanently Closed

Demolished 1/1/1986, site is now various industrial buildings and car sales. Closed 1/1/1986. History: Former street-corner Chesters, latterly Whitbread house, built to quite an elaborate style. Opening Times magazine June 1985 reported closure. Opening Times magazine June 1986 reported re-opening as teetotal pub (the 'Pop Inn') - reported for sale Opening Times magazine Aug 1990.
