This Pub is Permanently Closed
Demolished 1/1/1996, site is now Clayton Library. Closed 1/8/1995. History: A new-build (at a guess, late 1970s) Tetley house built as a replacement for the original Clayton Arms on Ashton New Rd. Two-room estate-pub format of large lounge, and large vault. Latterly it was a Burtonwood house. Opening Times magazine Sept 1995 reported closed, boarded and signed as dangerous building.
