This Pub is Permanently Closed
From the 1880s until it closed the inn was owned by John Joules & Son of Stone. It closed in 1931 and in 1932 it and nos 4-6 Gaolgate Street were demolished and a new store built for Burtons the Tailors on the site. This has now been split into a number of shops, recently a Greggs was on the site of the Dolphin but it has now closed.
