This Pub is Permanently Closed
The pub when closed was being leased by Eley's Stafford Brewery and became a shop after closure. Interestingly the Old Shoulder of Mutton survived for 3 years more than the (New) Shoudler of Mutton 3 doors away. In 1963 the entire block was demolished and a new block of shops built on the site. The site of the pub is currently (2022) occupied by Nicholsons Estate Agents.
