This Pub is Permanently Closed

This seems to have been the second pub of this name, the first on the end of Elm Terrace was demolished for road widening in the 19th century. The pub is shown on the 1901 25" OS Map and the licensee then was Lewis Proudman. The pub was demolished in the 1960s and the licence transferred to a new pub of the same name on Eccleshall Road (https://whatpub.com/pubs/STA/1974)
