This Pub is Permanently Closed
A beerhouse with a six day licence. Mrs Ann Pearce was the licensee from at least 1900 until 1927 when the pub was purchased by Reginald Taylor who became licensee. The pub was leased to Eley & Co,, brewers of Stafford up until 1927. In 1937 the licence was refused and the pub closed at the end of the year. At the time of the refusal Dix & Co, brewers of Shelton, Stoke on Trent, held a mortgage on the property. The pub was eventually demolished and a house, called The Horseshoes was built on the site.
