Welcoming, traditional pub with friendly management and bar staff on the outskirts of Greenside. Dating from 1795, the walls and ceilings are decorated with memorabilia from the local industries of centuries ago. Log burning stove. Separate pool room. The pub also has a folk club on Sundays, buskers alternative Thursdays and Wednesday is quiz night. Leek Club since 1979. Superb beer garden at rear. Pub now owned by licensee.
