The Maltings is located on the first floor of the building, above the former Jarrow Brewery. Take the staircase or lift to a partitioned room with a large central bar and plenty of seating. Most of the former decor remains and has 3 changing ales handpulls. The pub offers 10% off a pint for CAMRA Members

Wednesday is quiz night and Thursday is Rock night.

Note underneath the Maltings, occupying the space once used by the former brewery, is a bar called The Chameleon. This does not sell cask ale.

Conversion

Jarrow Brewery bought the former Co-op dairy to house their brewery on the ground floor and the brewery tap on the first floor. An impressive wood-panelled staircase leads to The Maltings on the first floor which has a partitioned room with a large central bar that boasts good quality fittings. It manages to retain the feel of an old brewery and to honour its past.
