This Pub is Permanently Closed

Traditional, family-friendly pub with a welcoming atmosphere, popular with locals and visitors alike. The large open-plan L-shaped room has a nautical theme with walls covered in marine charts and many framed photographs of Sunderland shipbuilding. There are no gaming machines or juke-box, just unintrusive background music. The pub hosts a local cricket team and book club and is a regular stop for local walkers. Quiz night is Tuesday. Freshly cooked, traditional pub food is served until 9pm (4pm Sun).
