A charming old timber-framed building with two downstairs bars and additional rooms upstairs, one featuring bar billiards and darts, others where children are welcome. There is a small patio to the rear and benches at the front. A "must see" for visitors to Hertford, the pub features in CAMRA's Regional Directory of Pub Interiors of Special Historic Interest.
