Two-bar local re-opened on 11 December 2025 after a short period of closure. This was the first pub acquired by Hertford brewer McMullen's, purchased in 1836 for £435 sold to Punch in 2026. The pub was the first in the country to purchase and house a defibrillator for the use of the residents of Bengeo. On the walls you will find old pictures of the pub and the locality.
