This Pub is Permanently Closed

From the outside this was a most attractive example of an inter-war Brewer's Tudor roadhouse in cottage-style of red brick, steeply pitched tile roof incorporating a dormer and splendid original Crittall windows. Formerly the Wheatsheaf, it was transformed in 2007 into a Tapas Bar and Restaurant. However the pub, which was situated on the A217 south of the centre, was demolished in March 2011.
