Large pub opposite Southampton Common in a commanding position on the corner of Hill Lane and Bellemoor Road. Inside, décor is what could be described as modern smart rustic with wood laminate or ceramic tiled flooring and modest use of bare brick. Pillars and part walls separate it into slightly more cosy areas but all are served from the same L-shaped bar, which has four beer handpumps on one section, three of which are normally in use, and two hand pumps on another section of the bar serving cider, but these are Lilley's and not recognised by CAMRA as real cider. The Hill Lane/car park entrance side is more orientated to dining with tables laid out and a carpeted restaurant area. The Bellemoor Road side is also plush but it's difficult to avoid the TV screens. Outside there are plenty of tables for drinking & dining.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers and 1 regular beer.
