With parts of the building dating back to 1591, The White Hart is thought to have been built on the site of the original ancient manor house of 'Harolds Worthy'. Today the deceptively large building encompasses two bar areas, a separate restaurant and a large club style bar and function room upstairs, together with 6 rooms of accommodation. It has now been owned and run by the same family for some 32 years and prides itself on being a traditional local pub with good food, where everyone can feel comfortable. The regular Doom Bar is usually accompanied by a guest beer from a West Country brewery and the good value food includes a Sunday carvery, steak nights on Wednesdays and pensioners lunches every Thursday. A recent introduction, the Black Rock Grill, provides Stone Cooking at the table. Regular poker evenings are among events held in the upstairs bar. The annual Holsworthy Food and Drink Festival is held at the pub in May and an outside bar service is also provided. Regular Comedy evenings also feature.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer (Guest beer tends to be from a fairly local brewery.) and 1 regular beer.
