This characterful 300 year old inn with four separate areas is very much a community pub. It has a pleasant outdoor drinking area to the front. The pub has accommodation in four bedrooms. The pub is located close to Sturdy Bank Campsite, 2 km from Longlands Holiday Park and within easy range of the villages of Kirkby-in Furness and Broughton-in-Furness.
Although the pub has a disabled-accessable toilet, access to the pub itself is by a ramp which is put in place by request in the pub.
