This traditional village inn, in the village square within five minutes walk of the famous Priory and racecourse is a firm favourite with locals and tourists alike. The meals, prepared with local ingredients, decor and atmosphere are all excellent. A welcoming log fire and oak beams (some so low as to carry headroom warnings) give a rustic appeal. The extensive enclosed riverside garden at the rear is an attraction for families.
